Abstract
Aim. The aim of the article is to study the main directions of the creative interaction of F. Dostoevsky with the legacy of N. Karamzin, taking into account the principles of narrative poetics and specific forms of recreating narrative dynamics in the text. It is proposed to revisit the ideas about the interaction of Dostoevsky with the tradition of sentimentalism: in addition to the sentimental pathos of sympathy and humane principles of respect for the personality of the "little man", the article also examines various signs of the author's creative interaction with the reader, the narrative "game", which in the Russian literary tradition, is correlated with N. Karamzin’s works. Methodology. The author identified and analyzed specific forms of Dostoevsky's interaction with the Karamzin tradition of constructing a dynamic narrative, the formation, and variability of which means for the writer the possibility of internal formation and development of the personality of the protagonist-narrator. The author analyzes the forms of interaction of the protagonist-narrator with the literary tradition to which the protagonist relates, the peculiarities of the self-consciousness of the protagonist that tries to create, the peculiarities of including literary reminiscences in the horizons of the character and the author. Results. In the course of the work, we identified comparable forms of recreating literary "dialogue" with pretexts, forms of recreating the motives of creativity and specific characteristics of the description of the protagonist expressing his "word and the world" in the narrative. The article recreates the typology of Dostoevsky's interaction with elements of the dynamic poetics of narration, in the Russian tradition correlated with the prose of N. Karamzin, as well as the specificity of rethinking sentimental motives in the artistic world of the novel "Poor Folk”. Research implications. The author managed to propose a new approach to comparing Dostoevsky’s creative quests with the Karamzin tradition, and also to expand the understanding of the role and significance of the sentimental tradition in the writer’s work.

Abstract
Aim. The article examines the reason that led F. Dostoevsky to use the image of a mouse in his work "Notes from the Underground". The purpose of the article is to explore the image of the mouse, its meaning and relevance. Methodology. The author of the article enters into a scientific dispute with scientists-Dostoevsky scholars, expanding the idea of the functional features of the image. "Notes from the underground" are being investigated. Approaching this work as an image of an experiment that the paradoxical narrator conducts on himself, the author of the article notes here the contrast of the "natural" person, whose behavior is subject to irrational impulses, to the "retort" person, who obeys the rational pursuit of "benefits". Special attention is paid to the problem of self-creation and the internal dissonances associated with this process. The paper uses textual, analytical, comparative and axiological methods of research. Results. The author of the article comes to the conclusion that it was the association with the experiment that allowed Dostoevsky to apply the image of a mouse. This is the main starting point of the paradoxalist narrator and protagonist of the "Notes"; it is the result of his observations on others and, above all, on himself, the result of his direct laboratory experiment, in which he served as a test subject-object. That's why he's a paradoxalist, and that's why he's entitled to talk about the mouse. Research implications. The theoretical significance of the work is to deepen the understanding of the artistic world of F. M. Dostoevsky. Practical significance is determined by the possibility to use the article material in higher school, in preparation for lectures and practical classes on Russian literature of the XIX century and for a special course on the work of the writer.

Abstract
Aim. To investigate Dostoevsky’s views on the Russian autocracy in the general context of the writer’s historiosophical ideas. This determines the formulation of the following tasks: consideration of Dostoevsky’s artistic, publicistic works, his letters, in which the concept of autocracy is interpreted in unity with the concepts of Orthodoxy and nationality - in the light of the writer’s general idea of the historical destiny of Russia. Methodology. The methodological basis of the study presupposes reliance on traditional literary approaches, in particular, on cultural-historical, hermeneutic, and philological methodology associated with a systematic analysis of poetics and style. Results. The analysis showed that Dostoevsky’s views on autocracy were based on traditional Russian Orthodox historiosophy. Thanks to such an attitude, the writer, with his influential word, powerfully influenced the development of national self-consciousness and Russian statehood, reconciled the people and the authorities, promoted their mutual understanding in crisis periods of social development, warned the authorities against mistakes in governing the country, taught the people to understand the innermost spiritual meaning of current government decisions. Research implications. The observations and conclusions can be used for further historical and literary study of the peculiarities of Dostoevsky’s creative outlook, as well as in the preparation of chapters about Dostoevsky in university textbooks and courses on the history of Russian literature of the 19th century.

Abstract
Aim. To determine the influence of the image of Raskolnikov from the F. Dostoevsky's novel "Crime and Punishment" on creating the image of Ethan Hawley - the protagonist of the novel by American writer J. Steinbeck "The Winter of Our Discontent". Methodology. The study is based on comparative historical and historical genetic methods, through which the similarities and differences between the Russian and American novels are revealed, the genesis of the motives of wounded pride and the relativity of moral laws in J. Steinbeck's novel "The Winter of Our Trouble" is established. Results. It is proved that the image of Raskolnikov can serve as a key to understanding the image of Ethan Hawley, although each of them possesses unique characteristics. If the image of Raskolnikov is understood as having the prospect of spiritual rebirth, the image of Ethan Hawley is more limited, through him the author shows the attitude of a person who has put personal objectives above the moral idea and subordinated in his consciousness the laws of the spiritual world to the laws of the physical world. Research implications. The results of the research can be applied in the development of courses on the history of world literature of the twentieth century and special courses on the works of F. Dostoevsky and J. Steinbeck.

Abstract
Aim. To identify the points of correlation between Dostoevsky's philosophy of love and the Gospel ideal. Methodology. The research is based on the axiological method of studying literature. The methodology of the work is of a synthetic nature: striving for a holistic understanding of Dostoevsky's work and placing at the forefront of the Orthodox value position directly expressed by him, at the same time not going beyond the limits of scientific discourse, leaving fiction the right not to be dogmatized by material. Results. It is determined that Dostoevsky saw the highest form of love in Christianity, and love, which does not direct a person’s thoughts to eternal life, is essentially an idea or affection for each other. The specific properties of the highest love in the understanding of Dostoevsky are revealed - these are sacrifice, freedom, reviving power, good. It is by these criteria that Dostoevsky distinguishes Christian love from other types of love. Research implications. The conclusions made allow us to clarify the features of the model of the world in Dostoevsky’s novel. The research results can find practical application in the development of courses on the history of Russian literature of the 19th century.

Abstract
Aim. The article reveals the metaphorical meanings of the anthill in the artistic and conceptual picture of the world of Dostoevsky in conjunction with the cultural and historical context. Methodology. The article examines the tradition of metaphorical word use of anthills in Russian and Western European literature, specifies the genealogy of Dostoevsky’s anthills. Analysis of works of art, articles, notebooks of the writer allows us to draw conclusions about the meanings of anthills in his work. Results. Dostoevsky mentions the anthill both as a metaphor for the plurality and insignificance of people, and as an image-concept of a logical, scientifically organized society. This approach reduces and diminishes the human personality. Both of these word usage existed before Dostoevsky in Western European and Russian literature, but it is from him that the anthill acquires conceptual meaning. Dostoevsky distinguishes in principle collectivism as the basic principle of the social anthill and Christian conciliarity as the basis of fraternal unity of people in Christ. Research implications. This study clarifies the conceptual significance of anthills in Dostoevsky’s work, shows the artistic embodiment of the writer’s worldview disputes with contemporaries who advocated progress, materialism and denied the Christian understanding of personality. The results can be used in the further study of the writer’s work, in the course of teaching the history of Russian literature of the 19th century, as well as for expanding comments when republishing Dostoevsky’s works.

Abstract
Aim. To analyze and highlight the peculiarities of the semantics of imperative utterances in the prose of F. Dostoevsky. Methodology. The paper describes sentences with verb forms that are included in the Russian imperative paradigm. The author focuses on structures with categorical imperative that form modality as a unified semantic category. In the course of the study the method of continuous sampling and the structural-semantic description of the language material using the functional approach were used. Results. The study of the semantics of imperative utterances in the prose of F. Dostoevsky allows us to see the peculiarities of the author’s creative manner, to assess the scale of innovation in the writer’s work. Research implications. The results of the study clarify some provisions of grammar in the field of the functioning of syntactic units in the text, supplement the information about the idiostyle of F. Dostoevsky.

Abstract
Aim. To establish the peculiarities of the writer's linguistic personality by identifying the semantic expression of the "soul" and the ways of representing the "Russian soul" (linguistic means and various semiotic systems) in the artistic space of the novel "The Brothers Karamazov", which also determines the novelty of the study. Methodology. The corpus of texts is analyzed. The complex method of text analysis acts as the leading methodology for the study of universal concepts in polycode representation. Results. The analysis showed that the contextual analysis of meanings and words conveys the main idea of a work of art, allows us to determine how the selected semiotic systems reflect all the shades of the tragedy of the Karamazov family. Research implications. Research materials can be used in lexicography; in the process of creating mental maps of the Russian linguistic personality; in the practice of teaching high school courses "Linguistics of the text", "Semiotics", "Philological analysis of the text", "Stylistics of the text", "Lexicology", "Cognitive linguistics".

Abstract
Aim. System analysis of the principles of correlation of structural-positional and communicative functional characteristics of modal-dubious particles in the works of F. Dostoevsky in terms of expanding and deepening the semantic perspective of the author’s text by these particles. Methodology. The theoretical and illustrative material was studied using descriptive and functional methods. This made it possible to perform the planned multidimensional positional analysis of the degrees of functional saturation of modal-dubious particles in the author’s literary text. The systematization of functional-textual characteristics of modal-doubtful particles was also based on the use of structural and systematization methods, as well as the general deductive method. Results. The article deals of the problems expanding and deepening a semantic perspective of the author’s text by modal-dubious particles. A systematic study of the structural-positional and communicative functional characteristics of modal-dubious particles in the author’s text is carried out. The most productive ways of influencing modal-dubious particles on the semantic field of a sentence in a literary text are identified and described. The structural and communicative-textual functions of a particle of the modal-doubtful group in the works of F. Dostoevsky are analyzed. Dostoevsky, and also systematized the parameters of the expression of the speaker’s position by particles. Research implications. It consists in the integration of theoretical data on the topic being developed. The structural-positional functions of modal-dubious particles are described at the level of their textual implementation in relation to the works of a particular author of a literary word. The way of the analysis of the illustrative material is justified: from the identification of the structural and positional characteristics of the particles to the establishment of their communicative and pragmatic properties at the level of the author’s literary text.

Abstract
Aim. To identify and describe expressive word-formation means in the prose of F. Dostoevsky. Methodology. The corpus of texts is analyzed. The author of the article has carried out a structural-semantic analysis of word-formation innovations and expressive derivatives extracted from the texts of F. Dostoevsky by a continuous sample, using the methods of observation, generalization and description. Results. As a result of the study, the types of newly created words and their functions in the prose of F. Dostoevsky were revealed. It is shown that word creation plays an important role in the structure of the writer's texts. Along with the new formations, the most productive types of derivatives and word-formation nests that are significant for the interpretation of texts are identified and considered in Dostoevsky's prose. Cases of morpheme repeatition are noted, its types and functions are described. Research implications. The theoretical significance of the article is determined by the development of a methodology for the analysis of word-formation means in a literary text and the identification of trends in word-creation on the material of the texts of the 19th century. The practical significance of the work is in the possibility of using its materials in the practice of teaching courses "Word formation" and "Philological analysis of the text."

Abstract
Aim. The purpose of this article is to attempt to reconstruct a fragment of the textual semantic field ‘fear’ in Fyodor M. Dostoevsky’s novel «Crime and Punishment», which indirectly reflects some features of the author’s lingual identity. Methodology. The main method of achieving this goal is a multi-parameter dictionary of the writer’s language, which provides an extended linguistic commentary that allows to build the textual associative field formed by the idioglossa - dictionary entry input. In addition, the paper uses a specially developed procedure for identifying textual associations. Results. In the course of the work the task of reconstructing the fragment of the semantic field ‘fear’, which indirectly reflects some features of the author’s lingual identity, was solved, and the prospects for research were determined. Research implications. The results of the research contribute to the development of the lingual identity concept, the semantic field theory as well as the writer’s lexicography.

Abstract
Aim. The purpose of the article is to study the form, semantics, and functions of temporal syntaxemes and substantive phrases in the text of Dostoevsky’s story “The House of the Dead”. Methodology. The author of the article carried out a structural-semantic analysis of sentences extracted by a targeted sample from F. Dostoevsky’s novel, using the methods of observation, generalization, and interpretation. Results of the study was the identification of the features of the structure, functions, lexical and grammatical semantics of non-elementary simple sentences that contain a temporal syntaxeme vs. a substantive phrase. It is shown how the semantic volume of the statement becomes more complicated; its functional orientation is enhanced. Such analysis allows us to see the individual creative manner of the author. Research implications. The theoretical significance of the article is determined by the contribution to the methodology of linguistic description of a non-elementary simple sentence, the demand for the proposed approach in syntactic analysis. The practical significance of the materials of the article is due to the possibility of their use in the practice of teaching philological disciplines.
