Abstract
Aim is to study the basic means of representing the concept of "Woman", showing the features of its reflection in the figurative fabric of the lyrical works of I. Bunin in 1887-1907. Methodology. Observations are carried out on the lyric texts of I. Bunin, in which female images arise, including through the portrayal of poetic impressions. Methods of interpretation, lexicographic analysis of the means of explication of the chosen concept, generalization are used, taking into account the contextual features of lexical units' semantics. Results. The means and features of the representation of the concept "Woman" in the lyric texts of I. Bunin, created before 1907, during the period of "romantic realism", when deviations in the creative method turned out to be associated with changes in the poet's personal life, were revealed. It is shown that I. Bunin, who represented various female types in prose genres in a wide and versatile manner, in the poetry of the period under consideration, used such images as inlays (with a few exceptions), obviously, because he was "on the way to himself," which causes pronounced muscularity of the text. It is argued that representing the concept "Woman" also acts as explicators of the concept "Beauty", which is dominant in Bunin's lyrics. Research implications. Based on the results of the study, it is possible to expand the understanding of the specifics of I. Bunin's worldview as a linguistic personality, the peculiarities of his conceptual sphere, to assess the originality of the representation of the concept of "Woman," taking into account the means of its explication, indicating the leading features of idiostyle in the lyrical fragment of the work of the period 1887-1907.
