Abstract
The article gives the results of
the dynamic process in the toponymy of Smolensk
region in the XVII-XVIII centuries. Long
descriptive constructions including the name
of the object and the name (the nickname) of the
owner were typical at the early stages of toponymy
development. Such descriptive constructions
are lost in due course in accordance with
the development of the toponymic system.

integrative connection, with origins in realization

proverbs that verbalize this frame is the function
of upbringing the tolerance as a specific attitude
to the happening events.

This article is devoted to the
problem of the study of cognitive systems of a
linguistic personality in the process of interpreting
the text.
Nowadays, such important questions as
the interpretative characteristics of a work of
fiction, their role in the process of mapping as
well as specific cultural and aesthetic factors,
that influence both the creation of a literary
work and its interpretation, are in the focus
of cognitive studies. The cognitive component
of the context reflects a particular fragment
of extralinguistic reality interpreted by the
reader, related to some concrete sociolinguistic
and cultural background and the message of the
author as such. The readers cognitive system
enables him to get the message hidden within
the context of a literary work which is to be appreciated
while being interpreted.

utterance are analysed in the article. The neutral
evaluation expression medium in A. Tvardovskiy
opuses is considered. Significancy of
the neutral evaluation expressed in the language

the neutral operator on the evaluation scale depends
on the situation being evaluated.

Abstract
It is lead hermeneutic analysis
of chapters with evangelical motives in novel
The Scaffold by Chyngyz Aitmatov. For comprehension
of sense of the text, written by the
author, the historical-cultural and contextual
analysis of the events, connected with the given
theme, is carried out also. Evangelical chapters
of the novel Master and Margarita and
evangelical motives of the novel The Scaffold
are compared. The comparative-historical
method of linguistics is involved. The analysis
has shown, that the image of Jesus in the novel
The Scaffold is built by a principle of a megaphone
of authors ideas. For this reason so often
this image is far from an evangelical image
of Jesus. However, introduction in the novel of
evangelical images informs art searches special
epic scope and philosophical depth.

The article is devoted to the
analysis of the role of the rhetoric model definition
in teaching argumentative public speech.
The author figures out its dominant rhetoric
features and illustrates the position of the definition
in the rhetoric argumentative scheme of
public speech. The combination of the rhetoric
definition with the tactics of underlining positive
and negative information in arguments has
a compensatory function, keeping high emotional
influence on the addressee.

This article is about the lingual
unit «compliment», dedicated to its formation
and function in the Russian language of the
18th-19th centures. Shortly presented is the
description of this units historical development
in the West European languages as well as
its adoption by the Russian language. The text
materials analysis showing all semantic nuances
of «compliments» meanings is the main
point of this article. According to this analysis
the conclusion made about the availability of
temporary frames limiting polysemy prosperity
of the present adoption and further gradual
disappearing trend of most meanings.

Semantic fulness of the considerable
part of notes in Turgenevs plays is correlated
with delicate psychologism of his prose.
The stated contamination by a note of various
forms of authors narration in Turgenevs artistic
texts creates the equality of positions and
viewpoints of the author, characters and narrator.
Poster notes, from one side, reflects unique
genre direction of Turgenevs drama plays. On
the other side, unconditional process of notes
interference in plays and prose texts. So, in
Hunter notes the using of dramaturgic note
form leads to equalization of representing positions

and dialogue in a prose context as well.

century. His literary heritage is devoted to
the fate of Altai. The writer connects the mystery
of Altai with the power of divine Eros. In
«Khan-Altai» love embodies the All-unity of

life, through suffering. The artist has in
his view the cherished transformation of the
world when evil will lose its power.

The article analyses the publications
from the Moskovskiy Nablyudatel,
devoted to Pushkin, which came out after the
poets death. They are presented by a critical
analysis of the journal Sovremennik with its
interpretations of Pushkins last works and a
little known poem by an Azerbaijani writer Mirza-
Fatkh-Ali Akhyndov On Pushkins death
(1937), a work of deep contents and original imagery.

This article is devoted to creativity
of the Spanish writer of XVIII century
Baltasar Gaspar Melchor Maria Jovellanos. In
it the epistolary heritage of the Spanish writer
is considered. Jovellanos was one of the first
who has departed from usual to the Spanish literature
forms of the letter in which on the first
place there was a emotional-personal aspect.
For these reasons some letters concern to diaries,
and others to works of art. Jovellanos complicates
his works products, including in them
the comment and the analysis of texts of other
genres. This method is developed by the Spanish
writers XIX, and then XX century too.

of the study we reached the conclusion that in
autumn of 1831 Pushkins literary reputation
was going through a certain turning point. For

The article is devoted to two
main vectors of M. Kuzmins works, as expressed
by his specific perception of ordinary
life and day-to-day small stuff as well as his interest
to exotic things. This subject is pursued
using Kuzmins lyric poetic sequence Fuzyi in
a saucer (1914). Particular attention is given
to the poets interest to Japanese painting and
the XVIII century German art. Analysis of pieces
of poetry is subject to the exposure of Kuzmins
pattern of aesthetics and clarification of
his world-view.

The author of the article attempted
to analyze Y. Slezkins short stories
focusing on their genre characteristics. As a
result, the following were identified: short stories
describing everyday life and their subgenres
(adventure and horror stories) and fantastic
stories with some elements of everyday life mystic
and phantasmagoria. Works that represent
these genre groups at its best were reviewed.
