Abstract
The article is devoted to the specificities of poetic text discourse analysis. Reviewing the devel-opment of discourse theory, the author provides the whole range of existing definitions of discourse and the predominant modern scientific concepts. Poetic text dis-course analysis is claimed to presuppose the research of poetic text linguistics, as well as studies of wide cul-tural, ethnic, historic, and author's personal context in order to interpret poetic work objectively and adequate-ly. Discursive connections of a poetic text appear due to the coordination of the following systems: text-indi-vidual, text-society, text-time. New artistic meanings ap-pear when comparing the text and the intricate set of life and ideological-esthetical conceptions of both a certain writer and a specified society.
