Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of some lexical occasionalisms (nouns in particular) in the essay "Two Hundred Years Together” by A. Solzhenistyn. The author investigates occasionality criteria, discusses the polemic question of interrelation between occasional and potential neologisms. The article describes components of analysis of lexical occasionalisms as idiolect elements and - in a more comprehensive sense - the author's idiostyle. The author comes to the conclusion that the occasional nouns described in the work are necessary to express the writer's thought, they are deliberately and consciously created by A. Solzhenitsyn and are always "connected” to a certain context or situation, they are clear to the reader.

Though classifiers and nouns of genre semantics are similar in their positions it is necessary to distinguish them: classifiers are presented by nouns of characteristics, nouns of actions and also by certain object nouns that function as predicates, whereas nouns of genre semantics are represented by concrete object nouns that function more as identifying elements.
