Abstract
The purpose of the article is to analyse the concept spiritism and cognate lexemes in Leskov’s idiolect. The early publicistic works were thoroughly studied. The conducted research based on descriptive, comparative and structural analysis proved creative capabilities of the Russian language. The elements of word formation which show the process of adaptation of new English concepts in the Russian language were also characterized. The target audience of the article are philologists, linguists, teachers of the Russian language and literature. Keywords: lexicology, publicism, author’s style, lexeme spiritism, Leskov idiolect.

Abstract
The article studies the text of tutorials on Russian as a foreign language, which the author of the article considers as the intercultural communication formation means. Basic intercultural communication aspects are viewed as part of Russian as a foreign language subject. The article analyzes the creolised texts specific, sociocultural, linguocultural and culture-oriented linguistics material, which is used for foreign students implication in the intercultural communication during their Russian language study. The relevance of creolisation for the above mentioned aspect in communication is confirmed. The following research methods were used: analysis and synthesis, observation (monitoring of texts), comparative analysis.

Abstract
Studying grammar is associated with the development of speech and the culture of speech of students. It is proposed to reveal the functional potential of the grammatical phenomena when describing them. On the example of certain kinds of sentences, the possibilities of using them in different speech registers and types of speech are considered. The study justifies the interrelation of the features of the structural-semantic organization of a grammatical unit and its functional features, the relationship of the type of speech, the style of the Russian literary language, the speech genre with grammatical forms.

Abstract
The objective of the article is to use the method of statistical analysis to characterize the O. Mandelstam’s idiostyle. The article discusses two main themes of the poet’s creative works “Antiquity” and “Christianity” on the material of four collections or cycles of to different time: “Stone”, “Tristia”, “Poems of 1921-1925”, “Voronezh Poems”. Statistical analysis has revealed the peculiarities of the semantic-stylistic system of the writer, with an emphasis on non-obvious or less obvious features and tendencies of the author’s use of words. The conclusions obtained in the article clarify the problem of the periodization of Mandelstam’s work.

Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of state of Leskov’s study in China. This is stimulated by the current geopolitical situation, the development of multilateral relations between Russia and China, including cooperation in the field of science, interest in Russian linguistics. The author notes that the famous Russian writer N. Leskov - a connoisseur of folk speech, original talent, extraordinary personality - in China has not yet been studied deeply enough, although his texts can reveal to the interested audience the features of the Russian character, reflected by the images of the characters, their speech parties, expressive words. The article presents aspects of the study, identified bottlenecks and possible prospects for the study by Chinese scientists of the language and style, the artistic space of Leskov’s works. The author uses general scientific methods of observation, analysis and synthesis. The conclusion about the dominance of the multidisciplinary approach in Chinese Leskov’s studies indicated range of works, style and language which, if properly translated, will help enrich the readership with knowledge of the recorded words, idioms, Russian picture of the world in its historically conditioned evolution.

Abstract
The aim of this article is to identify the similarities and differences between fables by Aesop and Cantemir. Based on comparative analysis, the author concluded that the works of Aesop and A. Cantemir are similar in theme, issue, storyline, but vary in presentation, explanations, on ways and means of describing the characters. The article emphasizes the role of A. Cantemir in the Russian literature. He gave new meaning to the famous fables story and was one of the first who transferred the fable genre to the Russian soil, bringing it closer to the best examples of classical antiquity, giving it an art form, the Russian national character. The article is addressed to students of Philological Faculty, scholars studying Russian literature of the 18th century or ancient literature.

Abstract
The article is devoted to the research of some unexplored aspects of versatile work of Don-Aminado, the satirist, the poet and the prosaic writer, one of the most popular author of Russian Émigré Literature. The author of the article utilized the comparative-historical and typological methods. The article concentrates on the analyzing of oriental images in Don-Aminado’s works. These images are considered in the connection with different philosophical, literary and sociopolitical ideas of that time, including Eurasian ideas, that defines the relevance of the article.

Abstract
This article addresses the issue the role of the portrait in the novels by L. Tolstoy and J. Galsworthy. Particular attention is paid to the similarity of the function of color detail to create expressive and vivid portraits of the characters and to reveal the inner world of the characters. The use of repeat color details is traced, which is presented by various techniques. The comparative analysis of the works “Anna Karenina” and “The Forsyte Saga” allows to conclude that their poetics of the verbal portrait has similarities.

Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of artistic time in the first poetic collection “Evening” by A. Akhmatova. The typology of forms of time used by the poet in the collection is carried out. Comparative systemic analysis allowed us to conclude that time is the main vector in the chronotope, “in the Evening”, with A. Akhmatova prefers varicella and biological time, practically without referring to the physical time that corresponds with the title of the book. Also, the analysis focuses on the temporal semantics, highlighted a number of items that have the appropriate meaning. It is established that the “Evening”, unlike later collections, is not replete with a huge number of forms of time, but the poet outlined trends in the development of this category. This work is important as part of the art of the temporology and “Akhmatova’s text”. The addressee of the article are scholars and scientists area of interest of which is the beginning of the twentieth century and the work of the acmeists.

Abstract
The aim of the article is to identify the phenomenon of truncation of the final consonant “й” in approximate rhymes in Russian poetry and the study of its use for approximate rhymes in Lermontov’s lyrics. The article presents the analysis of phonetic characteristics for approximate rhymes, the history of its use in Russian poetry and a detailed analysis of the use of truncation of the final consonant “й” in the approximate rhymes of Lermontov’s lyrics. According to the results of the study, the author concludes about the features of the use of truncation of the final consonant “й” for approximate rhymes in Lermontov’s lyrics compared with the one of his predecessors and the following generation. The article summarizes the new material and digital data on the theme of rhyming in Lermontov’s lyrics. The article is addressed to specialists in the history of Russian literature, researchers of Lermontov’s work.

Abstract
The article reveals the translations of the novel “The Noble Nest” by I. Turgenev that exist in China, highlights the most significant and repeatedly reprinted of them. It presents the brief review of contemporary scientific and critical sources about the novel “The Noble Nest”, which allow us to understand the range of interests of Chinese researchers, associated with the study and translations of this text in China. The novelty of the article lies in the fact that it not only specifically systematized for the first time almost all the existing Chinese translations of “The Noble Nest”, but also analyzed the dynamics of perceptions and assessments of the Chinese scientists of this novel in China.

Abstract
The article deals with the specifics of the novel “Of Human Bondage” - its genre and composition as viewed by English and American literary critics. The author, though sticks to a traditional form, linear narrative, goes beyond classical genres as well as realism. Autobiographical and psychological aspects of the novel, scrupulousness in telling about Philip’s feelings, which define author’s narrative strategies, make an impression of a very candid dialogue with the reader guaranteeing the popularity of the writing.
