Russian Prague: the Study of Old Russian Literature (Works of Emigrants Scientists)

Abstract

The article considers the history of study of Old Russian literature in Czechoslovak republic in 1920-1930s by Russian researchers-emigrants. Thereby the biobibliographical information becomes especially important. It concerns the work of some scientists, who have made a contribution to the progress of study of Old Russian Literature, their works about the history of medieval studies, published in the interwar period in Czechoslovak republic. The article is devoted to Russian-Czechoslovak cultural and scientific contacts, the phenomena of Russian Prague. In 1920-1930s Prague became the center of Europe for humanities and emigration.
