Abstract
In the memoirs of the years of study in graduate school, the author draws the image of the supervisor Professor N. Kondrashov from an unusual side - as a caring father, strict and wise mentor, intercessor and even Savior. The facts of the biography of Slavist complemented by rare personal details of communication included in the context of scientific research and change of ideological priorities in society. The figure of N. Kondrashov is shown with subtle lyricism and reverence for his feat - to teach people not only science but also life. In many fragments of the narrative appear unknown even to a close circle of people properties of character and linguistic personality of the fantastic teacher and philologist.
