Ambiguity in Comprehension of the Category Freedom in Pre-national American Literature
Abstract
The article deals with various
interpretations of one of the most significant
constituent parts of the American self-consciousness
in the XVII century literature. Interpretation
of physical and religious freedom
are mostly accentuated as basic aspects of the
analysed category as\well as the transformations
in reference towards the mentioned hypostases
of freedom in pre-national literature.
