Word-formative macrotypes with the meaning of collectiveness in Russian language

Abstract

This research is devoted to the
study of noun-forming suffixal macrotypes
with the meaning of collectiveness. The article
consists of two parts: in the first part there
is a the classification of affixes according to
their ability to combine with this or that kind
of deriving stems, and the second one describes
word-formative macrotypes of the collective
nouns, their quantitative and qualitative characteristics.
Particular attention in the work is
paid to the productiveness of the examined suffixes
in modern Russian language.
