«Life of St. Nicholas, the archbishop of Myra in Lycia» graphical and orthographical peculiarities (based on the manuscript of the 2-nd half of the 15th century)

Abstract

The article examines in detail
the structure, spelling, script and vocabulary
of the saint's life written in the last third of
the fifteenth century. The manuscript contains
the life of St. Nicholas, an account of the
translation of his relics from Myra to Bari, the
miracles he worked in his lifetime and after his
repose. The graphic and spelling peculiarities
testify to the Russian origin of the manuscript
written in the difficult period in the history of
Russian writing.
