THE PREDICATE FIND (IZYSKATI) IN THE RUSSIAN LITERARY LANGUAGE (ON MATERIAL OF THE «DICTIONARY OF RUSSIAN LANGUAGE 11-12TH CENTURIES»)

Abstract

This article examines the history of the formation of the predicate izyskati connotation in the Russian literary language, as well as its cognate words. Entries from the «Dictionary of the Russian Language 11-12th centuries» served as a material for the research. As a result of the study the author comes to the conclusion that the formation of semantic features of the word is gradual, and their coherence is marginal; explication of investigation language contexts is observed only in the second half of the 12th century, when it becomes possible to represent the term system «the search for a man».
