MODERNIST SPECIFICITY OF LATE RUDYARD KIPLING’S IDIOSTYLE

Abstract

This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the heritage of the late Rudyard Kipling’s works in the context of artistic trends of contemporary literary discourse. An attempt is made to reveal the specificity of late Rudyard Kipling’s idiostyle transformation and the subject matter of his late works. The research is also focused on consideration of the artistic heritage of the writer not only from the perspective of literary criticism and linguistics, but the philosophy and psychology. Besides, the mythopoetic character of thinking and central in his literary biography religious motif are revealed.
