The Image of Autumn in the Lyrics of S. M. Solovyov of the 1920s

Abstract
Aim. To consider how the image of autumn is revealed in the poems of S. M. Solovyov of the 1920s. To identify what influenced the poet’s perception of this time of year.
Methodology. The following literary methods were used in the course of the study: hermeneutical, historical-cultural, axiological.
Results. The analysis reveals that the perception of autumn by the a lyrical hero is influenced by the revolutionary events taking place in Russia. The autumn landscapes of these years are often dark, gloomy, giving rise to a feeling of homelessness and longing. However, the protagonist of S.M. Solovyov is helped to overcome despondency by creativity and faith in God.
Research implications. It is due to the fact that the legacy of S.M. Solovyov, whose name was included in the mainstream of the leading achievements of Russian literature In the 1900s and 1930s, was forgotten for a long time and was undeservedly little studied. This is especially true of his late lyrics.
