Abstract
The article deals with the groups
of typical word-formation paradigms of ornithonyms.
Its possible to name twelve groups of
them, including groups with zero potential and
groups with great quantity of derivatives. The
analysis of such groups allows predicting the
word-formation potential of different parts of
speech.
