Thomas Moore creative activity in the literary-critical interpretation of I. Kreshev
Abstract
The article deals with the peculiarities
of translation works and literarycritical
interpretation of I. Kreshev creative
activity of outstanding English romantic poet
Thomas Moore. The material for the analysis
was taken from the biography outline «Thomas
Moore», written by I. Kreshev, and published
in the magazine «The son of Fatherland» (1852,
№4), and some poetic interpretations from T.
Moore creative activity, such as «When your
true friend, when your admire?K», «I saw in
the morning, in a playful mood?K», «The Birth
of Harp», «The Latest Rose» («The latest rose
blooms lonely?K»), «The Fairy» («I know the
plants and the flowers?K»), «The Melody» («In
the Ganges valley, in the Eden of splendid
roses?K»). The analysis work includes a large
amount of historical-literary material (processors
and contemporaries of I.P.Kreshev conclusions
about T.Moore, earlier T.Moore poetic
works translations into Russian which were
translated by I. Kreshev), enable to make analogies
and to do comparison.
