CHAPTER SIX OF APOCALYPSE IN K. KINCHEV'S SONG "VSADNIK"
Abstract
Apocalypse (Revelation of St. John
the Devine) has always attracted Russian poets,
but the poetic interpretations of its chapters
and episodes as well as the philological analysis
of the texts on the basis of Christian tradition
can be seldom found. The article shows аn original
poetic interpretation of the episode of chapter
6 of Revelation (horsemen of Apocalypse)
made by K. Kinchev (a poem «Vsadnik»). The
author comes to conclusion that Kinchevs text
is a kind of modern interpretation of biblical
text addressed to youth and having such style.
