THE STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM OF THE CHILDHOOD BY SALTYKOV-SHCHEDRIN AND DOSTOEVSKY

Abstract

Saltykov-Shchedrin and Dostoevsky solved
the problem of the childhood in connection with the dramatic
refl ections of the destiny of Russia, of the family and selfrealization
of the personality. Their poetic and philosophical
conceptions of the childhood were kindred. The writers felt
deep anxiety about the child in the modern world, showed the
danger of the spiritual indifference, cynicism, preponderance
of material interests. The main aim for Saltykov-Shchedrin
consisted in the forming the person, aspired to the common
good. Dostoevsky put forward spiritual-moralistic, Christian
education of children, as the stable basis in life
