CONCEPT «BREAD» IN THE TRADITIONAL KUBAN WEDDING CEREMONY (ON THE MATERIAL OF STANITSA CHERNOERKOVSKAYA)

Abstract

The article deals with the terminology and ritual
use of the bread in the Kuban wedding ceremony on the
background of the kindred traditions. The comparison allows
to fi nd out the starting basis of Ukrainian ritual, the elements
borrowed from the other cultural traditions and to discover
new elements in the Kuban ritual. The investigation is based
on the narrations of the informants from the village Chernoerkovskaya
of Slavyansk region. The study of the rite on
the material of one settlement helps to avoid random sample
of objects for analysis and allows to implement the systems
principle.
