Статья посвящена анализу проблемы отношения человека к гражданской войне и переживаний из-за несоответствия нравственных идеалов и исторических реалий. В творчестве М.А. Булгакова это было отражено в рассказе «Красная корона». Таким же идейно-нравственным посылом обладает рассказ Л.Н. Андреева «Красный смех». Оба писателя проводят исследование состояния души человека под влиянием смертельной опасности и чувства вины за происходящие кровопролития. Позднее в пьесе «Бег» Булгаков показал нравственные мучения генерала, осознавшего свою вину за причинённое людям зло. Через сравнительно-сопоставительный анализ рассказов и пьесы автором статьи формируется вывод об отношении двух русских писателей к разрушительным последствиям войны.
The article is devoted to the analysis of the problem of the attitude of a person to the Civil War and drama caused by the discrepancy between moral ideals and historical realities. In the works of M. Bulgakov, this was reflected in the story “The Red Crown”. The same ideological and moral message has the story of L. Andreev “The Red laughter”. Both writers study the state of the human soul under the influence of mortal danger and guilt for the ongoing bloodshed. Later in the play “The Run” Bulgakov showed the moral torment of a general, who realized his guilt for the evil he caused to people. Through comparative analysis of stories and plays by the author of the article, a conclusion is drawn about the attitude of the two Russian writers to the destructive consequences of the war.
