В статье рассмотрены основные типы сквозного для произведений Т. Манна и Г. Гессе образа героя-наставника (не только оказывающего непосредственное влияние на главного героя такого рода произведений, но и несущего самостоятельную значимость и для построения сюжета, и для окончательного оформления авторской позиции). Помимо самостоятельной значимости исследования этого образа для восприятия немецкой литературы ХХ века, очевидна его тесная соотнесённость с образом главного героя произведения как выразителя духовной атмосферы своего времени.
The article describes the main types of typical for the works of Thomas Mann and Hermann Hesse image of the mentor (who not only has a direct impact on the main character of the novel, but also carries the independent importance for the construction of the plot, and finalizing the position of the author.) In addition to the self-importance of the study of the image for the perception of German literature of the 20th century, it is obvious that correlation with the image of the main character is very close, for him being a spokesman for the spiritual atmosphere of the time.
